Credit card fraud strikes again!
It has come to our attention that over the weekend a number of people have found fraudulent attempts to purchase £1 music downloads from Napster on their credit cards. We know of examples from Royal Bank of Scotland and Barclaycard.
Could this be related to recent losses of data by the banks? Given the lax IT security policies of many corporations it wouldn't be suprising. Either way people should check their credit card statements carefully for any suspicious transactions, and contact their bank or building society if they have any queries. Don't wait until you receive your next bill, as by then the thieves could have started to steal more than just £1 amounts.
