The bottom of the Startup Depression approaches?

Jason Calacanis' insightful mailing list has a number of gems, the most publicised of which was probably his recent essay “(The) Startup Depression”. Since then the list has tracked ups and downs, and Jason wrote again in October with“How to handle layoffs”.

One part in particular of “How to handle layoffs” struck a chord with us: where Jason writes about where the start-up depression will pan out. Amongst a number of reason, he says “when Google and Apple miss a quarter and/or lay people off”.

With Google's announcement last week, maybe it's just Apple to go until we're on the up?
