Apple model lookup for inventory and MDM

DeviceIdentifier API is a powerful tool for inventory and management of Apple devices, be they iOS, macOS or tvOS. It enables users to rapidly identify and learn more about their devices, given a wide range of identifiers.

The API is designed to be easy to integrate for developers of all levels, and is heavily used by iPhone Backup Extractor and Reincubate Lookup as an example integrations.

Device model and serial autocompletion, validation

Auto-completion data is available for most types of identifiers, allowing clients to autocomplete user input or discover a range of valid potential identifiers related to a device. For example, if an Apple "A" number is provided, the API can list potential Apple model numbers.

GDPR-compliant anonymisation functionality is built-in to every API call, providing access to safely anonymised versions of any given identifier.

Device firmware data feeds

API users are able to access a full set of firmware data, providing information on historical and latest firmware for any given iOS, tvOS or watchOS device.

Device fraud detection

DeviceIdentifier API has an enterprise module that can validate combinations of identifiers, for use where clients are at risk of being sent bogus or automatically generated identifiers.
